This is a very sweet, pocket dream dome of opalescent quartz from Brazil … in miniature 0.18 oz, 1.3” by 0.6” by 0.45”.  She is rounded on top and has a rounded, triangular bottom that fits well in the hand so you can study her well.  Inside, she has bands of golden healer and fernlike branches of crystalline manganese (known as dendritic quartz).  The opalescence is from trace rare minerals and it gives them an ethereal quality.  The quartz has minute fractures (likely from temperature cycling and/or earth movement) and in those fractures, the iron and mineral-rich water seeps in and as the quartz forms, so do the crystals.  To her back are a series of parallel “clouds” that seem to be typical of early sunset … and because of that, I call her “Sunset Sky”, perfect for the end of a wonderful day!

 

These are wonderful “finger stones”, perfect for tucking in a pocket when you need a smile and a crystalline hug.  She allows you a moment or two to wander in the meadow and collect your thoughts, take a couple of deep breaths and reconnect with Mother Earth.  Enjoy the love!
