Shipping and Payment Policies ...
Preferred shipping in the US is PRIORITY MAIL. Insurance is optional: please let me know if you would like insurance prior to paying and I will invoice accordingly. Parcel post and Express shipping are available on request. Very large items will be shipped either by Fed-Ex or UPS.
Outside the US, shipping is by first class mail (for shipments less than 4 lbs) and Priority Mail (for shipments more than 4 lbs). Both Priority and Express Mail are available for shipping packages of any weight upon request. Note that insurance is available only for Express Mail. And as I have found out the hard way, there is no traceability on first class mail or priority mail shipments once they leave the US, so if the item doesn't arrive, there is no way anyone can see what happened to it. Note that insurance and traceability is available only with Express Mail. I will gladly provide proof of all shipping to you, but Topaz Spirits is not responsible for shipping losses outside the US or for any customs delays. As a special note, as of July 2012, US postal regulations will not permit first class or priority shipping of international packages with a value greater than $400US. These must ship express mail. I am sorry for this expense and am looking into alternatives.
Topaz Spirits is not responsible for any customs or VAT charges. The customs declaration will be for the total value of the items invoiced per US law.

Note that there is a handling charge of $1 for foreign shipments and no handling for US shipments.
Payment is expected when an item is invoiced. I will send reminders out if payment has not been received within seven (7) days. If no payment is received, or no other arrangement is made, within fourteen (14) days, the order will be canceled and the item will be returned to stock.
All invoices will be billed through PayPal. I don't take credit cards except through PayPal. Personal checks or money orders are acceptable.
I do lay-away on large crystals. Lay-aways are for a maximum of six (6) months and a payment must be paid every month. I can invoice you monthly if the payment will be a regular amount or you can pay me what you choose, but it must be monthly and no lay-away will be held open more than six (6) months. If no payments are made by month 2, the item will be returned to stock.
If payments are not made as agreed, the item will be returned to stock and any payments made are subject to forfeit. I hate to do this, but there are unfortunately those who badly abuse this convenience.
PLEASE NOTE: you MUST ask be before using layaway or open box- please do not assume that I know what you want!
In order to save postage, many people like to accumulate crystals and pay for them "en masse". I will be pleased to hold a box open for you, but will only do so for thirty (30) days as it's too hard to keep track of when the time gets longer. In no case will a box be held open longer than thirty (30) days. At the end of that time, I will close the box, calculate the postage and issue an invoice for payment.
It is important that the Keeper and the crystal resonate. If they do not and you want to return the crystal, I have a no questions asked policy. Let me know that you will be returning the crystal, pop it in the mail and I will refund your purchase price as soon as I receive the crystal. All I ask is that you return it within five days of receipt.
