This is an intense red quartz from Morocco, 1 oz and 2.5” by 0.85” by 0.8”. She is glossy all around but holds a number of keys that gives her a bit of a kinked look. The base is healed and a number of little students emerge from it. The color is a gorgeous and deep red from hematite that coats the crystal except in the clear areas, revealing the inner clarity of the crystal. The hematite is not uniform (thick and thin) and when backlit, scenes seem to form in the variations … rather like the stars in some distant galaxy. There are some nice glyphs on the faces and a few teeny dings
