Topaz Spirits

This is a magnetic ironstone pseudomorph from Iron Mountain, Java, Indonesia. Locally, these stones are called “Batu Badar Besi” (this translates to “Iron Rhinoceros Stone”) and resemble the pseudomorphs (Prophecy Stones) of Egypt. These are generally smaller and are more “pebble” shaped … and they are magnetic. The magnetic field is very gentle and won’t pick up a paper clip, but you can definitely feel a slight rise when held close to it. This Spirit is has a bit of iron oxide (golden healer) in areas and kind of has different looks as you turn it . A sleeping bird, an ice cream cone and a swirl of hot fudge … totally cute. This one weighs 0.7 oz and is 1.5” by 0.8 by 0.75” and warms quickly in the hand.

Because of their healing properties, ironstones have been used in healing Reiki, acupuncture, crystal healing and energy practices for relaxation, sleep therapy, blood pressure regulation and treatment of pain and inflammation. I had experienced a very stressful day before opening some ironstone bracelets and what I got immediately from the ironstone energies was calming, stress relief and relaxation. Tucked under a pillow (place in a small bag or wrap so you don’t lose the stone), you will initiate blissful dreams and a sense of wellbeing when you awake!
