This is a gorgeous, clear and electric DT Vogel pale ametrine, 1.2 oz and is 2.4” long by 0.9” in diameter at the thickest part and 0.6 in the thinnest. It is expertly cut from nearly flawless Brazilian quartz crystal by Brazilian carvers and is 12-sided with 12 faceted terminal faces … what I would call a laser beyond lasers. The citrine is a bit hard to see as the amethyst tends to obscure it. There are some lilting mists and a few small silver shields that create shy rainbows inside. This is a stunning piece that will become your new favorite crystal!
Marcel Vogel was a well-known scientist for IBM and a pioneer in the metaphysical crystal world. He discovered that properly cut crystals could be programmed and their energies amplified for use in healing work. Not only did he develop techniques for cutting, but he tested the result and documented why each particular shape was used for a particular purpose. He modeled the shapes after water and although the atoms were different, was able to turn a single crystal into a powerful grid. Note that these crystals were always precisely cut by hand and were careful to preserve the C-axis of the crystal. It should be noted that many of the “Vogel” crystals cut today merely mimic the designs and have been cut from fragments, massive quartz and whole crystals without the care and precision Vogel intended.
That all being said, I do know that the craftsman who cut this one truly honored the energy, although I do not know if the Vogel technique was utilized. I sense that this is a ceremonial activation crystal with the wider termination against the central palm meridian. Do not point this at anything you don’t want to blast … you will need to work on energy control for a bit until you get the hang of it. Because the energy field is very pure, you will have to have a ceremonial purification with fasting, smudging and intent so that nothing but pure thoughts go into the pair. Once programmed with pure thought and intention, then he can be used in grids, including other crystals, or in personal meditation. Every few uses, repurify and program the crystal so as to maintain the same level of energy always. Use with starbraries to seek contact with alien life forms.
