She is from a new find of quartz in Messina, South Africa. The famous copper mines there have been closed down (including the one that she is from) for some time and all of the original quartz mined was becoming rare. New finds have opened up, only to close quickly, and the quartz is nothing short of magnificent … and it’s not all about ajoite. She has none, but she is a study in simplicity! She is largely misted inside with hints of clarity and is 2 lb 12.6 oz and 5” by 3.5” by 3.15” with a multi-terminated terminations and students everywhere. Scattered about, your will find crystals of epidote with piedmontite embedded in it. And to one side, she hosts a horizontal deep mauve phantom! There are nice Lemurian lines down her sides and a her large faces are covered with glyphs, many tactile! This quartz is beyond loupe-worthy … you will not want to put her down!
