I continue to be blown away by these tangerose polished quartz in many respects! First, these quartz were isolated to a single find among tangerine quartz in Brazil, except rather than that juicy orange color, they were shades of coral and rose. Hematite, in its wondrous flexibility of expression, has altered their energies. In any case, the mine has since played out and closed, succumbing to eucalyptus farms, so no more of these luscious Spirits are immediately available. Some time ago, when my supplier was visiting the mine in Brazil, he noticed this pile of damaged crystals that were headed for uncertain futures, so my supplier suggested that these be polished! What a perfect solution as these amazing quartz have SO much to offer and with their energies restored, they are truly extraordinary! My dear friend, Jenny, calls the tangerose quartz, ‘Rosies’, and these Spirits, then, are ‘rescued Rosies’, wonderfully recovered and transformed - human and crystal, working together! People had always assumed that the hematite was a coating, so when these were polished, the color remained, albeit lighter. This isn true in her case but her lovely tangerine color (as opposed to a typical tangerose) comes right at the base of the larger of her two unpolished sides! Both of those sides hold subtle Lemurian lines and interestingly, starbrary glyphs! She weighs 1.4 oz and measures 2.55” by 0.8” by 0.6” and stands proudly on her flat base.
