This lot of quartz was from a new find in Messina, South Africa. The famous copper mines that housed the quartz there have been closed down for some time and all of the original quartz mined has become rare. New finds have opened up briefly only to close quickly and the quartz from Messina is still nothing short of amazing. This is an amazing crystal that is blushed pink with red and black hematite accents, 4.4 oz and 3.5” by 1.5” by 1.” with a huge up one side that bifurcates her termination. Her base has healed and hematite-stained. Her terminal faces show wondrous and slightly iridescent glyphs! But her most amazing feature is the side that hosts tactile patterns of hematite that seems to tell stories! She is simply stunning in her crystalline dress and in most excellent condition with only one modern ding.
