This is an 8.6 oz, 2.25” diameter, nicely polished golden sheen obsidian sphere that comes with a lovely wood stand. The sheen is obvious at her “poles” … and believe me, it is impressive! Obsidian is a volcanic glass and comes from locations around the world where there are volcanos. The sheen is caused by minute particles of magnetite or hematite included within the obsidian as they rise to the surface as the obsidian cools. The effect is striking and rare!
