These are from Madagascar and wonderful representatives of the wondrous hematite-included crystals for which the area is know. This one is an awesome and 1 lb 9 oz and 6.3” by 4.6” by 3” with side contact area (and some broken crystals) and flat base that allows this crystal to stand securely. There is a secondary growth that nearly covers the original crystal although it is thicker in some areas than others and the overlay areas are bright with hematite. The sides have elestial markings and starbrary glyphs plus the crystal itself is a laser-shape although not totally. When you study the sides with backlight and a loupe, you’ll see tiny spheroids of hematite, like crystalline pointillism that yields the overall hematite color. The density of the spheroids further adds a series of characters that have to be read along with the messages on the sides. On one side, there are several smaller students, all attired similarly. Her termination has darker areas that look like ancient writing and I am totally fascinated by her crystalline expression! She is in excellent condition.
