This is a very unusual Brazilian tourmaline in that the green is so deeply colored that it looks almost black)with the sides being like a cats-eye tourmaline and chatoyant and yellowish-green! The base is healed and there is a white area to the side. With a loupe, you’ll see that it is like a spider web of tiny white hair-like crystals, likely also tourmaline. At first I thought the top was polished but again, with a loupe, you will see rounded, layered tourmaline record keepers! This is very unusual in the tourmaline realm! This unusualcrystal is 12.77 grams and 1.1” by 1.1” by 0.4".
