This is a sweet, 2 lb 3.6 oz quartz from Jenipapo, Brazil, 8.7” by 3.9” by 2”. The crystal has a nice light smoky color and the student on top holds fine needles of blue tourmaline (indicolite) that gives a wondrous blue cast to the student. With a loupe, you’ll see that there are quite a few colorless (olenite) tourmalines included as well. There are nice Lemurian lines and this crystal is in fact, a cathedral lightbrary shard. A shard is a crystal badly damaged within the Earth and has healed through the eons into extraordinary expression that is different from the original crystal, but often far more beautiful. You can see that it was a side of a very large crystal and when that piece separated, the student came with it. The overall effect is beyond stunning! There are some very tiny dings, but otherwise this crystal is glorious and a wondrous statement piece!
