This large point is from Serra do Cabral, Brazil and a dissolution quartz with a combination of an opalescent and almost “melted” appearance with a bit of “normal” appearance. Dissolution quartz are created within the earth by the action of Earth acids through the eons …and each is unique in expression. This one is 13.8 oz and 4.9” by 2” by 1.8” with two large keys on adjacent sides. The sides show unique and fascinating markings that make the crystal look rather matte in appearance. On the terminal faces, there is a plethora of literally hundreds and hundreds of tiny trigonic record keepers formed into unusual patterns.I have never seen so many trigonics and a loupe will show them all to you but they are overwritten in areas so difficult to count. There are a few odd little dings, but otherwise, this crystal is in excellent condition!
