Authentic Moldavite is getting difficult to find and I recently bought a collection from an old friend who has been collecting for years. This is a large, well-ridged and sail-shaped moldavite weighing 22.71 grams and measuring 2” by 1.4” by 0.6” … and simply gorgeous! Although sail-shaped, the detail is incredible and the color is deepest green that turns emerald-green when backlit. Moldavite is a very rare type of tektite found only in Eastern Europe and export is restricted. He is directly from the Czech Republic and absolutely authentic. Their chemical constitution is very similar to obsidian (volcanic glass) with one significant difference: they contain iridium and the only iridium on earth came from meteors … from space!

Sail-Shaped Dark Green Moldavite
