Mouse over to zoom in

This is a 3.9 oz, 2.9” by 1.4” by 1.25” smoky tangerose quartz from Corinto, Brazil. These were isolated to a single find among tangerine quartz there, except rather than that juicy orange color, they were shades of coral and rose. Normally smoke color arises from exposure of “white” quartz to natural radiation within the earth. The smoky cast here is derived instead from hematite … the same thing that gives her that awesome tangerose color! There is a large, dominant seven-sided face with remaining faces being odd shapes. The sides bear Lemurian lines as well as a number of starbrary glyphs … and some mysteries, small white spots. One looks like a flower but you will need a loupe to see the flower well. Also note that there are teeny-tiny spheroids of hematite gathering to produce that smoky effect. There are a number of tiny dings, but nothing worrisome in the least.
