This is an amazing 15.7 oz, 5.15“ by 2.1“ by 1.5“ quartz from Brazil with an irregular, slanted, calcite-covered but healed base. This is from a shipment of these quartz that had lightning strikes but this one doesn’t have any … it’s still a wet dramatic and stately crystal. It bears a light smoky tangerine color with nice termination and subtle facial glyphs on three faces. The remaining faces are lightly polished. In the center of the base is a dark area that looks light a figure in the fog … sort of like a great bird flapping its wings to fly away. The figure is likely a mixture of slate and lodelite creating this wondrous apparition that looks quite solid! The sides are covered with subtle starbrary glyphs and a side student that bears a ding. A key resides next to the student and when the former student separated, it may have caused the ding. This crystal is quite fascinating and will be a great study with a loupe!
