This is a 4 oz, 3.15” by 1.45” by 1.35” smoky tangerose quartz from Corinto, Brazil. These were isolated to a single find among tangerine quartz there, except rather than that juicy orange color, they were shades of coral and rose. The mines have been played out and the smoky tangerose was among the last of these quartz mined. The more has closed and is now eucalyptus forest. The crystal isn’t actually smoky, but is slightly smoky colored. Normally smoke color arises from exposure of white quartz to natural radiation within the earth. This crystal’s color is derived instead from hematite … the same thing that provides that awesome tangerose color! There are starbrary glyphs and Lemurian lines with areas of druse, but the most striking aspect is the face that this crystal has a number of areas where there was damage and it has amazingly healed! There is still one raw ding at the base, but this level of healing is extraordinary!
