This is a 12.36 gram, 1” by 0.7” by 0.7” quartz from Dal’negorsk Russia. A paramorph is a type of pseudomorph formed by a change in crystal structure but not in chemical composition. So this quartz has taken the form of a beta quartz … both have a six-sided termination but the beta quartz looks rather pyramidal. It has a key on two terminal faxes and two dark contact points where it retained the earthly matrix that hosted it. This is truly a rare quartz and a rather cute one too!??
