This is a very amazing and totally unusual quartz from Brazil and I have to admit to being totally intrigued about a ‘lily pad’ quartz. When I unwrapped each one, I was immediately captivated! These are from the same area in Brazil where the Green and Blue Tara quartz are mined. And interestingly, this one is beyond unusual even for a lily pad quartz! Lily pad quartz had these wonderful little green chlorite inclusions that look just like lily pads … this crystal has none of those. But, it has an array of inclusions that are red, yellow, orange, green and gray! Two sides and the base hold a really deep key and when you turn it right,, the crystal looks like a rocket ship just before launch. And on the faces, you will find tiny, squarish keys and inside the keys is a bit of calcite. This Lily Pad is 1.6 oz and 3.05” by 1.1” by 0.95” and is most excellent - an unusual beauty!
