This is an 8.7 oz polished freeform of positively vivid and stunning shattuckite from Epuwe, Kaokoveld, Namibia measuring 3.1” by 3.1” by 1.23”. Many of the copper-rich minerals (like ajoite, papagoite and shattuckite) were discovered in the southwest US first before they were found in other parts of the world. Finds in Africa have been totally amazing … this Spirit has a wonderful shape that fits well in the hand and boasts shattuckite and chrysocolla set in a rich, deep russet cuprite matrix. The freeform stands securely on a side, but does lean a bit.
