This is an amazing and colorful polished piece of bloodstone (also called “dragon’s blood) , 1.9 oz and 2.2” by 1.4" by 0.5”, from India. She is la melange of golden-green with “rivulets of deep, blood-red and a few toast-colored and very thin veins. Bloodstone is a form of jasper with the red coming from hematite. In ancient times, it was known as heliotrope and martyr's stone.
