This is a wonderful 1.4 oz, 2.5” by 21.3” by 1.1” series of banana yellow wavellite crystals, all nested in a kind of pita pocket of a pale goldish-brown matrix with one side that looks like wood (but it isn’t). The sparkling, botryoidal crystals fill the center in shades of light golden yellow. The ones along the edge are in cross-section and show radiating slender crystals – like a lemon cut in half. She is from Arkansas and this fantastic wavellite hadn’t been found in years, but thanks to the Sweet Surrender Mine and their digging talents, this wonderful wavellite is once again available.
