This is a colorful and striking russet quartz from Nigeria, 2.6 oz and 2.4” by 2” by 1.05”. She is rather V-shaped and has an extraction scar on both sides, vividly exposing her phantom and totally confirming that she is a phantom-manifestor!The white area was the original crystal which was overlaid with a hematite deposit and the sugarblade portion that features on her two sides was a secondary growth! With a loupe, you will see tiny spheres of hematite inside (and believe me, you will have to look hard but they are there) and a plethora of tiny, circular “keys” where the spheres once resided on her exterior. Her faces created raised areas down her sides and in the valley below created the sugarblade effect. She has a thin scrape at the termination but is otherwise in excellent condition.
