This is a rare mica (location unknown - the various types of mica are found all over the world) that is very unique in that is is blue and green! The piece weighs 1 oz and is 2.9” by 1.5” by 0.3” and is sort of sail-shaped. Mica is a very special mineral and I think we all fascinate at the way the layers peel off into translucent sheets from an opaque stack. Now at first, you would think this mica is black, but when back-lit, you can easily see the true color of mostly blue with a few areas of green! Truly fascinating!
