This is a striking, 1.3 oz, 2” by 1.6” by 1.1” citrine quartz from Barra do Salinas, Brazil. On each side of the quartz is a “wing” … one of albite and the other of mica. You will easily see the six hotspots! These are evidence of a small, focused, concentrated dose of radiation while in the earth eons ago. Note that no radiation remains, but the hotspots merely bear evidence of exposure to natural uranium deposits in the crystal’s Brazilian home.The sides bear Lemurian lines and there is a contact area to one side. The condition is excellent!
