his is a colorful and un-fenstered (most of this lot was fenstered but this one chose not to … ) quartz from Madagascar, 1.7 oz and 2.15” by 1.4” by 0.85”. The main termination is a tabby with a neat twin and the lower termination is a multi with a side od three joined side students. If you explore the crystal with a loupe and a UV light, you can readily see a number of gold inclusions (oil) inside. These are exceedingly rare inclusions as oil “enhydros” are known from only a few areas around the world and attest to organic matter during the crystal’s formation. Sides and faces that are subtly marked and the overall color is mottled russet. Note that my camera threw fits when I used the UV light on these - the pink you see is not fluorescence but rather reflection.
