This is an unusual 2.9 oz, 3” by 1.25” by 1” crystal from Bahia, Brazil with a healed base. When backlit, the lovely violet amethyst (the inner beauty) is evident but without the backlight, it is dominated by a secondary growth that makes the crystal look grayish. The termination is rather slate-colored and spiky … it’s the only way I can describe it as it is actually multi-terminated and the terminal faces are well-glyphed. Several keys surround her base giving sort of an ice cream coned appearance. The whole effect is simply breathtaking and the crystal is in excellent condition.

Unusual Inner Beauty Amethyst from Bahia
