This is a 11.9 oz, 3.9” by 2.5” by 2.5” crystal cluster from Inner Mongolia that has the most astounding characteristics! The cluster is curved with a flat base … if you pick the cluster up by the side, you can curve your hand around it. The cluster is shaped from an assortment of cathedraled points that have been called “artichoke” because of their appearance. Hematite darkens the individual crystals at their base. You can see how they form in a cone shape by the crystal on the left side showing the base. The quartz has a grayish-greenish appearance from hedenbergite and aren’t smoky as they might first appear. This is a wonderful crystal to study will a loupe!
