This unusual crystal is part of a find from the Kullu Pass in Northern India, gateway to the Himalayans and home to many temples. The palest pink-rose color comes from hematite and not from titanium as true rose quartz does, As with all the Kullu Rosies, this one is strangely configured and exceedingly intricate with no real faces, but yet many of them (almost elestial) and this one has an intricate and flattish bottom allowing the crystal to be totally upright. Erosion form earthly mineral acids has shaped the crystal and just over the base is a deep key where another crystal once rested. The top termination is likewise flattened and tripped towards the key. This is a nostalgic unusual expression even for these crystals. The crystal is in excellent condition, weighs 2.1 oz and measures 3.3 by 1.6” by 1.4”.
