This is a new arrival and a another very unusual crystal from Bahia, Brazil. These quartz were polished as there was a “skin” on the outside that was blocking the “show” inside. This is a very clear and somewhat short tower, 2.9 oz and 2.45” by 1.3” by 1” with a plethora of little rainbows inside. There is a faint blush of amethyst and among those rainbows, there is a pair of brownish phantoms.Explore with a UV light and voila … the phantom glows hot orange! The phantoms found in these quartz are from powellite which is rare especially in this location. The vein where these quartz were mined has already played out, so this is a very special crystal!??Click on the link below to see additional pictures.
