From Bolivia, comes this absolutely unusual ametrine 4.1 oz sphere, 1.6” in diameter. Ametrine is a combination of amethyst and citrine; citrine is the result of the earth’s natural heating that turns amethyst into the golden color you recognize as citrine. The amethyst color is wonderful, but hold the sphere to the light and rotate and savor the explosion of golden citrine amid the amethyst - a classic example of a Brazil Law Twin! The light play is amazing and the color was hard to capture accurately in the pictures . And believe me, showing it taxed me a lot! Also hard to see in the photos is a “white” quartz hexagon! al Keeper smile!
