This is a sweetie, DT quartz from Brazil that resembles a bird, 2.5 oz, 3.1” by 2.8” by 1.2”. The main crystal forms the head and body of the “bird” while a layer of flattened quartz forms the wings and a sort of flattened student forms the base, A plethora of tiny students creates the effect of feathers. In the main termination is a milky, wispy area known as a titanium gas phantom. Titanium oxide was trapped in the molten quartz and as it rose to the surface, left amazing patterns of silky, milky white wisps inside the crystal. As the gas erupted on the surface, fissures appeared, creating deep etchings and glyphs on the crystal’s faces. These are often called Sacred Sigils and have wondrous patterns that are profoundly 3-D. This adorable little bird is in excellent condition and ready to join your special starbrary collection!
