This is a colorful polished piece of bloodstone (also called “dragon’s blood) , 2.1 oz and 2.5” by 2" by 0.3”, from India. Top and bottom are polished two sides with two sides being natural. The overall color is green with red veins arranged randomly. Bloodstone is a form of jasper with the red coming from hematite. In ancient times, it was known as heliotrope and martyr's stone.
