This is a more petite quartz from Barros do Selina, Brazil weighing 1 oz and measuring 2.5” by 1.6” by 0.9”. The crystal is a white quartz, sitting on a contact area base and with a “topping” of crystals in a deep, rich, honey gold color! The crystals have amazing glyphs that look like the sands in river deltas and there are quite a number of dark spots (not dendrites) that like very dark hematite inclusions. There is an opalescent quality and when you show an ultraviolet light on it, the glows is an almost imperceptible dark red! There is a bit of calcite on one edge that will show hot pink in the ultraviolet light. Fluorescence is common in calcite but uncommon in quartz!
