Sapphire comes from all over the world, but amazingly, it is a true rarity in Brazil and this one is a blue DT pocket-sized crystal, 2.1 oz and 1.6” by 1.45” by 0.75” from Bahia, Brazil. The miners usually treat them with oil to make the blue “pop” but this one is completely untreated … the shades of blue colors “pop” without any other effort! It looks a bit misshapen but there is a key to one side that gives the crystal a kink and this is a nice, etched and glyphed piece. The mica shimmers in the light and is embedded on two sides and base. The crystal is terminated all over and in excellent condition.
