This is a large, smoky, BGE, elestial quartz from Brazil, 1 lb 7.3 oz and 4.9” by 2.9” by 2.4”. When backlit, the citrine core show nicely. The front and back of the crystal are quite different. The back is covered with well-healed keys and the front is rather smooth with subtle Lemurian lines and glyphs. At the base, there its a mini cluster of albite and near the top, there is an area of white. With a loupe, you will see that this is a manifested with a thin row of white quartz crystals below the surface! You will see this pattern elsewhere in the crystal as well … and three little “hot spots”! Hot spots were formed by small incidents of natural radiation from the earth. Note that there is no lingering radiation from this. The large, dominant face has quite interesting etchings and when the light is just right, its surface is iridescent. This is a wondrous crystal that will have you exploring it for a long time!??
