This is an extra-large golden healer infused DT Herkimer “diamond” quartz from the original mines in Herkimer County, NY. It weighs 9.8 oz and measures 3” by 2.5” by 1.9”. Pictures do not do this crystal justice! There are rainbows, a small enhydro and loads of golden color throughout, The base has been growth interfered by goethite that is all healed over and there are some little keys along one edge.You will see petite little incisions of goethite inside. This is not a glistening, showy piece but rather one that testifies to the changes within the earth that formed this outstanding crystal. There are two small dings that you will have to hunt for but otherwise, this crystal is in excellent condition.

Herkimer diamonds mean a lot to me as I grew up in Herkimer County, NY and as kids, we used to dig sparkling fragments out of the newly graveled and oiled road into our remote little town. It started a love-affair with these jewels and to this day, I wear one around my neck constantly … my piece of home! This is a wonderful statement piece that will have you exploring constantly with a loupe!
